Fall Golf a Great Time to Play. Looking Ahead Information
Hello Everyone,
This has been a very good and busy golf season at Hunter in spite of the weather challenges we faced.
COVID retracted a bit and allowed us to open the pro shop and to have a junior camp as well as allowing time without masks. We want to thank all the golfers that played at Hunter this season. We hope your experience was a good one and you will return next season.
There was a number of small and large group outings that went well along with several larger fund raising efforts that were successful. Thank you to them for choosing Hunter.
This year we had a full league schedule and want to thank them for choosing Hunter for their play. We look forward to seeing them again next season.
The leagues were “The K. LeMay”, “GreyBar”, “Zoel”, “Middlefield”, “3M”, “Canberra” and “Hump Night Hackers.”
The Hunter’s Ladies and Men’s Club were active and have been growing. I want to thank them for their support.
We also supported the three local High Schools, Maloney, Platt and Wilcox Golf teams for practice and matches.
Please note:
Online tee time reservation access will close for the season
on November 1st
and will reopen in the spring.
Please call the pro shop at 203.634.3366 to obtain a tee time and other information until the course closes for the season.
The course will stay open as long as the weather permits. Keep an eye on Facebook and our website for updates on course play.
This year could not have been successful without the help of my pro shop staff and the starters. I want to thank them for their hard work.
Pro shop staff: Ryan, Kyle and Dan.
Starter Staff: Charlie, Ron, Bob, Jim, Joe, Ray & Chris.
The course was is great shape and is due to the hard work of our superintendent Tom DeVaux and his grounds crew. I want to thank them for what they did this season.
The crew members: Gary, Noel, Les, Wayne, Blake, Eddie, Ryan & Julio.
Our Hunter website has been expertly maintained by Bryan Kane from American IT Solutions (aitexpress.com). He volunteers his services and I’d like to thank him for his work.
Lastly, I want to wish everyone a safe and healthy off season. Please enjoy the holidays.
All the Best,
Bob Tiedemann, Hunter PGA professional
